The Malaysia SDG Summit 2024 was held on 17 and 18 September 2024. This summit hosted by the Ministry of Economy and co-organized by the National SDG Centre (PSN). The SDG Summit served as a platform for stakeholders from various sectors to converge, share insights, and take substantive steps toward realizing the SDGs towards the 2030 Agenda.
This was the second time Malaysia hosted the national-level conference dedicated to the SDGs. Building upon the success of the inaugural summit in 2019, this event garnered over 5,000 participation from various sectors, galvanizing efforts towards sustainable development.
The summit featured Exhibition showcase, engaging sessions, including panel discussions, workshops, and keynote addresses, led by experts, policymakers, and industry leaders. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights, share best practices, and explore collaborative opportunities to address key challenges and opportunities related to sustainable development.
Provide a public dialogue platform to see the achievement of the SDGs in Malaysia.
Get input and feedback from stakeholders to identify policy adaptation measures related to sustainable development;
Identify implementation gaps and issues related to sustainable development that can be used as a basis for policy papers
Expressing the government's commitment and support in the implementation of the SDGs in Malaysia
Improve the capacity building of various target groups in SDG lessons especially at the state and local levels
Showcase best practices that can be used as examples of SDG implementation for the public, private sector and civil society organizations (CSOs)
Featuring best practices in SDG implementation from various sectors, including public, private, and civil society organizations
Featuring government officials, experts, and representatives from various sectors to sharing and deliberate the progress made towards achieving the SDGs in Malaysia
Dialogue & sharing sessions, cultural performances, performance, interactive activities and exhibition

















The SDG Summit 2024 is scheduled for September of this year. This summit is being hosted by the Ministry of Economy and co-organized by the National SDG Centre (PSN) and the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) as strategic partners for this year’s Summit. The SDG Summit will serve as a platform for stakeholders from various sectors to converge, share insights, and take substantive steps toward realizing the SDGs.
